About Kerry
Kerry has been playing piano for over 25 years. She holds her Grade 10 piano certificate and an Education degree, with distinction, minoring in Fine Arts from the University of Alberta. Kerry is a classically trained pianist with a love for all types of music! Lessons with Kerry are formatted to meet the needs of her students and share in the love of music. LESSONS
Classical Piano Instruction
Kerry offers weekly lessons to students ages 6 and up. Students will have the opportunity to perform in local festivals and complete examinations at their grade level. A technical portion (scales, ear training, etc.) will be included in each lesson. Kerry has led her students to achieve First Class Honours on Royal Conservatory of Music exams.
Popular Music Piano Instruction
Are you interested in learning something like Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen or maybe Shallow from the movie, A Star Is Born? Then, these lessons are for you! Kerry will structure your lesson to learn popular songs of your choice. Some basic music knowledge is required first but Kerry can help you with that too!
Theory Instruction
Learning theory is like understanding the rules of any language and is recommended to all piano students. Theory instruction is included in all beginner piano lessons, but as students advance (around RCM Level 3), lessons need to be longer than 30 minutes so there is enough time to learn Theory concepts.

Wedding/Event Performances
Kerry is a classically trained pianist with a strong sight-reading ability and is able to produce a musical performance that is both flawless and expressive for your special event. When providing music for an event, she is willing to play music of your choice or, if requested, Kerry has an extensive knowledge base of different types of music and she is able to select music that best suits your event.
